Chaos Reigns

So my life is feeling prety chaotic lately, but I have to wonder, is it really that nuts, or am I just a big baby???  School is back in full swing, so that always makes things a bit crazier, but so far this year we only have karate to worry about, which is less than usual (Jaedyn switched from hockey to karate, nobody is curling, and Rya got kicked off the school volleyball team...yep, you read that right!!)  So really, what do I have to bitch about??  I guess my big stresses right now are the fact that the house is not done and my job. The job sucks!!!  I swore that this year I would stick to supply....1...because I wanted to get this house finished and settle in...and 2...because I am doing bookkeeping work on the side which occupies my evenings and weekends.  But, of course, somehow I have managed to get suked into an LTO.  And to make it even worse, it is 3 English classes.....so far from my major it isn't even funny!!  Definately my least favourite class to teach.  I am all about facts and figures....not interpretations!!!  Uuuuggghhh...I hate it soooooo much!!!  So the question remains....suck it up and deal...or keep bitching about it???

My Kitchen Renovation

I know it's kinda late to be posting about this, especially since I no longer live in this house, but I put alot into this kitchen and I really love how it turned out.  So lets start at the begining...

When I bought my little house in 2006 it looked like this

Don't you just love the wallpaper??  And it looks so good with that patterned backsplash.  I won't even talk about the lovely shade of orange...yet.

 Hey look...more of that fabulous wallpaper!!  And what about that flooring.  I can't even tell you what it is, but it looked and felt dirty no matter what.  I would also like to point out the strange orange glow coming from the side wall.  Pretty isn't it?

There is the orange wall.  Seroiusly, what kind of colour is that?

Anyway, before I even moved in, and on an extremely tight budget, I turned it into this...

Apparently, I didn't take any other pictures of the kitchen (Eitheer that or I lost the pics in one of my many computer crashes...lol)

But here it is after living in it for a few years.  Definately not enough cupboard or counter space.

So after 3 years I'd finally had enough and decided on a bigger renovation.  Of course, it has to get worse before it gets better...

But eventualy it got better, and I absolutely love the final result....

Then this year I moved...and started all over again.  I'll share that with you when it's all done.

Uuuugghhh ... has been 2 1/2 months since last post ... definately a fail!!  This house remodel has completely consumed my life....

Summer Update

Wow ... once again I have fallen behind ... lol.  Oh well, it's summer, things move at a slower pace around here!!  Had an amazing time in Greece.  Such a beautiful place with such an incredible history. 

Still waiting to get possession of my new house.  Was supposed to be June 15th ... still hasn't happenened!!  Not exactly happy about that :(

Summer Vacay!!

Well, I've decided to try and forget about all the house crap going on around here and try to enjoy my vacation!!  Yep, going on vacation.  Heading to Thunder Bay in about an hour and getting on the plane in the a.m.  First, off to Toronto.  From there, hop a flight to Paris.  Next, off to Athens, Greece!!!  Woohoo!!  3 days in Athens followed by a 4 day cruise of the Greek Isles, back to Athens and then home.  Sooooo excited, but I better go finish packing!!! ;)

Graduation Day!!

My baby girl graduated SK today!!  Just makes you wonder why time seems to go so fast :(
