Summer Vacay!!

Well, I've decided to try and forget about all the house crap going on around here and try to enjoy my vacation!!  Yep, going on vacation.  Heading to Thunder Bay in about an hour and getting on the plane in the a.m.  First, off to Toronto.  From there, hop a flight to Paris.  Next, off to Athens, Greece!!!  Woohoo!!  3 days in Athens followed by a 4 day cruise of the Greek Isles, back to Athens and then home.  Sooooo excited, but I better go finish packing!!! ;)

Graduation Day!!

My baby girl graduated SK today!!  Just makes you wonder why time seems to go so fast :(

Unfortunately, not too many blooms this year and they are almost done already...boo :(

Well look at that, I've fallen behind yet again...lol!!  O.K., guess it is time to face facts, I suck at this kind of thing.  So from now on, I will update when I think of it, or have something exciting to share, but I will definately stop feeling guilty about not posting more often!

So anyways, what's been going on these past few weeks....hhmmm
Well, Rya and Devon both completed their karate grading and both earned their orange belts.  So proud of both of them!!! They worked so hard for it.  Twice a week for 8-9 months and countless hours of practice definately paid off!!

Despite the fact that karate is over for the summer, there is still something going on every single night!!!  Devon and Jaedyn have swimming lessons monday, wednesday, friday ... Rya has baseball on tuesday ... Devon and Jaedyn have soccer on thursday!!!  Could really use a night off durung the week.  Oh yeah, and I have baseball on either monday or thursday ... seeeesh, no wonder I never get anything done around here!!

So I finally have a project completed!!  Remember this one....

It finally looks like something other then a pile of wood!!  Wooohoooo!!  Here's the progress ... it definately took longer than I planned :(

Slacker Excuses :)

Ok, ok ... I know, it's been a week.  But I have a ton of excuses!!  I've been working, the weather has been nice, I had to go to Thunder Bay to pick up my new truck (woohoo!!), baseball started, we had a community clean-up day, went to the lake!!  Whew ... getting tired just thinking of it all!!

Happy Mother's Day

It's Mother's Day so I am taking the day off ... oh, who am I kidding!!  I have already made breakfast, did the dishes and two loads of laundry....nuts :(

I love flowers!!  Can't wait to see what I grow this year.

Oh yeah ... my big and exciting project that I mentioned last week ... I bought a new house!!!  Woohoo!!!  Can't wait.  It's going to take a fair amount of work to get it to where I want it to be, but ... and here's the best part ... everyone will have their OWN room!!!  Finally!!!

Weekend Update

So the weekend was sooooo busy and just seemed to fly by.  I can't believe it is Tuesday already!!  Karate tourney was a definite success.  So proud of Devon.  He was fifth in his kata, fourth in his team kata and SECOND in kumite!!!  Wooohooo...silver medal.

Then there was sunday.  Power outage was scheduled for 8am until 2pm ... but I had a plan.  If I got up by 7:45 I could still have coffee, because if there is no coffee, they day is a total write off!!!  But they ended up turning the power off at 6:30am.....aaarrrrggghhh!!!!!  Are you kidding me!!!  No coffee ... going to be a bad day!!!  Anyway, I made it through the day but somehow had to get ready for Jaedyn's hockey banquet with NO POWER!!!  Nothing says like redneck like an extension cord out to the truck so that I could plug in my straightener ... hehehehehe ... yep, used the truck to straighten my hair!!  Wish I would have taken a picture of that.  I did take pics at the banquet though.
